Students are confused regarding the Supreme Court verdict of 28/04/2016 of holding common national level MBBS and BDS entrance test through NEET.
In the Supreme Court verdict, it was mentioned that the students who have not applied for AIPMT i.e. now NEET-I shall get the opportunity to appear for NEET-II on 24/07/2016.
Students who are going to appear for AIPMT to be held on 01/05/2016, will they be entitled or permitted to appear for NEET-II to be held on 24/07/2016. Our second question relates to the Supreme Court verdict which states that the Entrance Exams of States is to be scrapped. Will the APJEE be held or not?
Students seem unhappy with such decisions and plea in change.org
The decision/plan to hold NEET 2016 in two phases (i.e., on 1st May 2016 & 24thJuly 2016) at an interval of almost three months, seems to be grossly unfair towards candidates supposed to appear in 1st phase of the exam., as the competitors/candidates who’ll be appearing in second phase on 24th July will be getting almost three months of extra preparation time.
In a competitive examination where even a single marks is critical for selection/failure, giving such a big extra time of almost three months for preparation to some of the candidates, is surely going to give lot of unfair advantage to 2nd phase candidates.
In order to avoid this grave injustice to 1st phase candidates, it would be a better and fair option that Medical Council of India, CBSE, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and the Supreme Court of India take immediate steps to scrap the exam to be held in 1st phase on 1st May, and to hold the examination for all candidates in single phase at a later convenient date.
